Job Summary
The Structural Engineer will be responsible for planning, analysis, design, review, and execution support of structural works for greenfield and brownfield projects. The role involves ensuring structural safety, economy, constructability, compliance with codes, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting project execution from concept to commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
1. Structural Design & Engineering
- Carry out structural analysis and design of RCC, steel, and composite structures including:
- Foundations (isolated, raft, pile foundations)
- Industrial sheds, PEBs, pipe racks, platforms
- Multi-storey residential & commercial buildings
- Retaining walls, tanks (both OHT & UGT)
- Road (Flexible & Rigid pavements)
- Surface drains (Open & conduit)
- Sewerage line net works incl Chambers
- Prepare and review:
- Design calculations
- Structural drawings (GFC, shop drawings, as-built)
- Technical specifications and BOQs
- Ensure compliance with relevant Indian / International Codes (IS, ACI, AISC, Eurocodes, BS, etc.)
2. Design Review & Value Engineering
- Review designs prepared by consultants, vendors, and subcontractors
- Carry out value engineering to optimize structural systems for cost, safety, and constructability
- Resolve design discrepancies, site queries, and deviations
3. Software & Tools
- Perform analysis and design using software such as:
- STAAD Pro / ETABS / SAFE / SAP2000
- AutoCAD / Tekla / Revit (structural)
- Ensure proper documentation and validation of software outputs
4. Site Support & Execution Coordination
- Provide technical support during construction, including:
- Method statements
- Temporary works design
- Erection schemes for steel structures
- Sequencing execution
- Attend site meetings and inspections
- Address RFIs, NCRs, and structural site issues
5. Project & Interface Management
- Coordinate with:
- Architectural, MEP, geotechnical, and procurement teams
- Clients, consultants, and statutory authorities
- Support project planning, scheduling, and milestone tracking related to structural works
6. Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to:
- Approved drawings and specifications
- Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) plans
- HSE requirements and safe design practices
- Participate in audits, inspections, and design reviews
7. Tendering & Business Support (if applicable)
- Support tendering activities including:
- Structural concept development
- Quantity estimation and rate analysis
- Technical clarifications and bid evaluations

Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Mandatory)
- M.E./M.Tech (Structural Engineering) – Preferred
- Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineer – Desirable

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
