Job Summary
The Accounts Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining compliance with financial regulations, and supporting budgeting and financial planning activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
- Maintain accounting records and financial documentation.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
- Liaise with banks, auditors, tax authorities, and other external stakeholders.
- Assist management in strategic financial planning and decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, CA, or equivalent) preferred.
- 3–7 years of accounting or finance experience, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
