Job Title: JCB Driver / Operator
Department: Plant Operations
Location: Concrete/RMC Plant Site
Reporting To: Plant Supervisor / Plant Manager
Job Summary
The JCB Driver/Operator is responsible for safely operating the JCB/backhoe loader for material handling, loading, shifting, excavation, and other plant-related activities while ensuring proper care and maintenance of the equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate JCB/backhoe loader safely and efficiently.
- Load and shift aggregates, sand, soil, and other materials within the plant premises.
- Support loading of raw materials into designated areas/hoppers as instructed.
- Carry out excavation, leveling, and material handling work when required.
- Follow instructions given by the Plant Supervisor.
- Conduct daily pre-start checks of the JCB.
- Check fuel, engine oil, hydraulic oil, tyres, brakes, lights, and other basic components.
- Report any mechanical issue, leakage, damage, or abnormal sound immediately.
- Maintain cleanliness of the JCB and ensure proper parking after use.
- Follow the prescribed maintenance and safety procedures.
- Operate the machine only within its safe working capacity.
- Maintain proper care of the equipment to minimize breakdowns and downtime.
- Follow all site safety rules and use required PPE.
- Maintain the operator logbook and record working hours, fuel, and machine-related issues.
Qualification
- 8th / 10th Pass preferred.
- Valid JCB/Heavy Motor Vehicle driving licence as applicable.
- Relevant operator certification preferred.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience operating JCB/backhoe loader.
- Experience in RMC/concrete plants, construction sites, or material handling is preferred.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of JCB operation and basic controls.
- Basic knowledge of machine maintenance.
- Good understanding of workplace safety.
- Ability to work in outdoor/site conditions.
- Responsible and disciplined.
- Good coordination with plant operators and supervisors.
- Willingness to work in shifts when required.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
