Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our Feed Plant operations. The candidate will be responsible for maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting of feed manufacturing equipment to ensure smooth plant operations and minimum downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of feed plant machinery and equipment.
- Install, align, assemble, and dismantle mechanical components and machinery.
- Repair and replace bearings, belts, chains, couplings, gearboxes, and other mechanical parts.
- Perform welding, cutting, grinding, and fabrication work as required.
- Inspect equipment regularly and identify potential mechanical issues.
- Ensure proper functioning of conveyors, bucket elevators, mixers, pellet mills, grinders, and packing machines.
- Maintain maintenance records and report equipment performance issues.
- Follow safety procedures and company maintenance standards.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of mechanical maintenance and industrial machinery.
- Experience in welding, fabrication, and machine fitting.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
- Familiarity with preventive and breakdown maintenance practices.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
