The Mechanical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems and equipment. This role ensures machinery operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and test mechanical equipment and systems
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery and tools
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs promptly
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments accurately
- Replace worn or defective parts and components
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintenance procedures
- Maintain maintenance logs, reports, and service records
- Assist engineers or supervisors with equipment upgrades and improvements
- Support production or operations teams to minimize downtime
