JOB SUMMARY
NB Entrepreneurs is seeking an experienced and responsible Store Incharge to manage raw materials, packaging materials, engineering spares and finished-goods inventory at its pharmaceutical excipients manufacturing facility.
The candidate will be responsible for material receipt, storage, issuance, documentation, inventory accuracy and compliance with GMP and safety requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the receipt, inspection, storage and issuance of raw materials, packaging materials, consumables and engineering spares.
- Verify materials against purchase orders, delivery challans, invoices and approved specifications.
- Prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) and maintain all inward and outward documentation.
- Coordinate with Quality Control for material sampling, approval, rejection and status labelling.
- Ensure proper segregation of approved, under-test, rejected and returned materials.
- Follow FIFO and FEFO inventory-management practices.
- Maintain accurate stock records in ERP and physical registers.
- Monitor minimum, maximum and reorder stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Conduct cycle counts, monthly stock verification and annual physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and report stock shortages, excess quantities, damages and inventory discrepancies.
- Issue materials only against authorized requisitions and maintain proper traceability.
- Supervise loading, unloading and safe material-handling activities.
- Ensure correct storage conditions, identification, stacking and preservation of materials.
- Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping in all storage areas.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, safety requirements and audit standards.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Quality, Maintenance, Accounts and Dispatch departments.
- Train and supervise store assistants, helpers and material-handling personnel.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly inventory and consumption reports.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate in any discipline, B.Com, B.Sc. or Diploma in Materials Management preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in stores or warehouse operations.
- Experience in a pharmaceutical, chemical, food or manufacturing company is preferred.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, MS Excel and inventory documentation.
- Good understanding of GRN, FIFO, FEFO, stock reconciliation and material traceability.
- Familiarity with GMP and warehouse safety practices.
- Ability to lead store personnel and coordinate effectively with other departments.
- Good communication, documentation and problem-solving skills.
