Position Summary
HCLTech is seeking an SAP Core Services Technical Junior Consultant with 2–4 years of SAP implementation experience. The role supports SAP S/4HANA programs across Greenfield and Brownfield transformations within the steel manufacturing industry.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Support SAP Basis and core technical administration activities.
- Participate in SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration and upgrade projects.
- Assist in system installations, refreshes, transports and monitoring.
- Support incident management, root cause analysis and issue resolution.
- Coordinate with functional consultants during testing and deployments.
- Monitor system performance and recommend optimization actions.
- Support security, authorization and audit compliance activities.
- Assist in integration monitoring and technical troubleshooting.
- Prepare technical documentation, SOPs and knowledge articles.
- Participate in cutover, hypercare and go-live support activities.
Required Skills
- SAP Basis administration knowledge.
- SAP S/4HANA architecture fundamentals.
- Transport Management System (TMS).
- SAP HANA database administration basics.
- Client copy, system refresh and backup concepts.
- Job scheduling and monitoring tools.
- Understanding of SAP Fiori landscape and connectivity.
- Exposure to cloud and on-premise SAP environments.
Steel Industry Knowledge
- Understanding of steel manufacturing business processes.
- Awareness of procurement, production, inventory, quality and sales cycles.
- Knowledge of plant operations and supply chain processes.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline. SAP certification in SAP S/4HANA/Basis is preferred.
Behavioral Competencies
Strong analytical skills, communication abilities, stakeholder management, teamwork orientation and willingness to learn new SAP technologies.
