Manager – Store
Department: Materials Management / Stores | Location: SRP and RSIPL, Ramgarh | Reports to: Head – Commercial / Unit Head
Purpose: Hold complete custody accountability for all plant materials — physical stock always matching system stock, no unauthorised movement, and availability without excess capital locked up.
Qualification: B.A. / B.Com / B.Sc. / BBA with Materials Management specialisation
Experience: 12–15 years in stores or supply chain in a steel plant or comparable process plant, with independent ERP-based store charge.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure every inward consignment is received against a valid PO, with gate entry, weighment and challan verification.
- Ensure GRN is booked in ERP within the defined timeline; record short supply, damage and rejection.
- Enforce issue discipline — no material issued except against an approved requisition, indent or open job card.
- Enforce old-part return before any replacement spare is issued.
- Set and revise minimum, maximum and reorder levels for consumables and critical spares.
- Raise timely reorder indents and follow up with Purchase on pending and overdue orders.
- Identify and act on non-moving and obsolete stock; propose disposal or redeployment.
- Conduct perpetual and annual physical verification; reconcile every discrepancy with documented cause.
- Maintain safe, segregated, FIFO-compliant storage and control returnable / non-returnable gate passes.
Pay: ₹12,151.09 - ₹42,014.10 per month
