Job Summary
We are looking for an energetic and target-driven Field Sales Officer to manage retail sales, strengthen channel relationships, and drive business growth within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in the mobile handset or telecom industry with strong knowledge of distributor management, retail development, and market execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets within the assigned territory.
- Visit retail outlets daily to generate sales and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Develop and expand the retailer network by onboarding new outlets.
- Ensure product availability, visibility, and merchandising at retail stores.
- Coordinate with distributors to maintain adequate stock levels and timely order fulfillment.
- Execute trade schemes, promotional activities, and marketing campaigns.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends and share insights with management.
- Collect retailer feedback and resolve product or service-related issues promptly.
- Maintain daily sales reports, beat plans, outlet coverage, and market visit reports.
- Ensure timely collections from channel partners as per company policy.
- Train retailers on product features, offers, and selling techniques to improve sales performance.
- Build long-term relationships with distributors and retailers to increase market share.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of field sales experience in the Mobile Handset, Telecom, Consumer Electronics, or FMCG industry.
- Experience in distributor handling, retail sales, and market development.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Good analytical and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and sales reporting applications.
- Must possess a valid two-wheeler driving licence and be willing to travel extensively.
