Hope you're doing well! I wanted to share an exciting opportunity with you. We're currently looking for a Estimation Engineer to join our team. Here's a brief overview of the role:
Role & responsibilities
1. Review construction drawings, specifications, and relevant contract documents.
2. Perform quantity take-offs for construction sub contractors such as concrete, masonry, flooring, drywall, painting, site work etc.
3. Utilize estimating software to calculate areas, lengths, and volumes of different building components as needed.
4. Apply labour / material rates to quantity take-offs given by estimating manager to calculate final project costs.
5. Liaise with general contractors / project owner to get clarifications.
6. Perform other duties as assigned by the construction estimating manager.
7. In-depth Knowledge of Excel.
8. Must have Onscreen Takeoff and Bluebeam revu and must be enthusiastic about learning new software and skills.
Preferred candidate profile
1. Must have degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification
2. Must have experience with reading construction drawings and specifications.
3.Must have Onscreen Takeoff and Bluebeam revu and must be enthusiastic about learning new software and skills.
4. Ability to work independently and with a team.
5. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Demonstrate excellent technical skills in construction and construction materials.
7. Must be highly organized, multi-tasker, and attentive to details.
8. Preferably personal laptop / desktop with steady internet.
