DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF BIO- MEDICAL ENGINEER
The following will be the duties and responsibilities of bio- medical engineer:
1. FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
a. To ensure expense lines of equipment maintenance and calibration are within forecast.
2. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
a. To take appropriate measures to prevent complaints related to functioning of equipments.
b. To undertake a quick response time to all such complaints.
3. PROCESS RESPONSIBILITIES
a. Coordinate special projects and perform specialized technical tasks involved in the installation and maintenance of clinical equipment.
b. Improve or make special test setups to conduct functional checks with biomedical test equipment.
c. Labelling each equipment with equipment code.
d. Prepare history card, preventive maintenance schedule and maintain preventive/ maintenance records of all equipments.
e. Monitor down time of all equipments month wise and response time in case of any defect.
f. Assist departments in capital equipment planning; assist in identifying and recommending replacement of equipment that is obsolete, has extensive repair history, or has identified safety issues.
g. Maintaining contact no.s of all service engineers and coordinating with them for timely servicing and maintenance.
h. Repairing, servicing, trouble shooting of all hospitals based equipments and taking care of all the engineering aspects of hospital.
i. Planning, performing planned preventive maintenance, testing, calibrating and verification of all equipments.
j. Ensuring compliance with accreditation standards. Imparting training to new employees and in case new equipment is introduced in the hospital.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
