Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) AMS Consultant to provide application support, maintenance, and continuous improvement for SAP EWM solutions. The consultant will be responsible for production support, incident management, service requests, configuration changes, defect resolution, and system enhancements while ensuring compliance with agreed service levels (SLAs).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2/Level 3 application support for SAP EWM in an AMS environment.
- Resolve production incidents, service requests, and defects within agreed SLA timelines.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring production issues.
- Configure and support inbound, outbound, internal warehouse, and inventory management processes.
- Support warehouse operations including receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, packing, staging, shipping, physical inventory, and cycle counting.
- Configure and maintain warehouse structure, storage types, storage bins, work centers, process-oriented storage control (POSC), layout-oriented storage control (LOSC), and warehouse process types.
- Support RF framework, mobile warehouse transactions, handling units (HU), wave management, labor management, and warehouse monitoring.
- Collaborate with business users to analyze requirements and implement enhancements.
- Support integration between SAP EWM and SAP S/4HANA/ECC, SAP TM, SAP MM, SAP PP, and automation systems.
- Coordinate with ABAP, BASIS, integration, and infrastructure teams to resolve complex issues.
- Participate in change management, transport management, testing (Unit Testing, SIT, UAT), and production deployments.
- Prepare functional specifications, test scripts, knowledge articles, and user documentation.
- Monitor system performance and recommend continuous process improvements.
Required Skills
- Strong functional experience with SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM).
- Hands-on experience in AMS/Production Support (L2/L3).
- Expertise in inbound, outbound, internal warehouse, and inventory management processes.
- Experience with warehouse structure configuration, handling units (HU), wave management, POSC, LOSC, and RF transactions.
- Good understanding of warehouse monitoring and exception handling.
- Experience integrating SAP EWM with SAP S/4HANA/ECC, MM, SD, PP, and TM.
- Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or Jira.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Embedded SAP EWM in SAP S/4HANA.
- SAP EWM implementation and AMS support experience.
- SAP EWM certification (preferred).
- Exposure to warehouse automation technologies such as RF devices, barcode scanning, conveyors, or robotics is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of ABAP debugging and interface monitoring.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ITIL service management processes.
