About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Production Supervisor to oversee our CNC Lathe and VMC machine operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving daily shop-floor production, managing machine operators, ensuring product quality, and maintaining machine efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Management: Plan and execute daily shift production targets on CNC Lathe and VMC machines.
- Shop Floor Supervision: Monitor operator performance, machine setups, cycle time, and material usage.
- Quality Control: Perform first-piece inspection, ensure dimensional accuracy using measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge), and maintain zero-defect standards.
- Troubleshooting: Assist operators in resolving basic tooling, machine setting, or programming issues during runs.
- Maintenance Coordination: Work with the maintenance team for preventive maintenance and minimize machine downtime.
- Team Leadership: Assign tasks to operators, track attendance, and maintain shop-floor discipline and 5S cleanliness.
Requirements & Skills
- Education: Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (or relevant hands-on shop-floor experience).
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience supervising CNC and VMC shop floors.
- Technical Knowledge: Hands-on understanding of CNC Lathe & VMC operations, Fanuc/Siemens controllers, and cutting tools.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, shift planning, and practical problem-solving abilities.
