Job Title: IT Infra Executive
Job Summary
The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, securing, and maintaining the organisation's complete IT ecosystem across retail stores, warehouses, corporate offices, and remote locations. The role ensures high availability of networks, servers, security systems, CCTV surveillance, ERP applications, internet connectivity, and IT assets while driving technology improvements, cost optimisation, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. IT Infrastructure Management
- Manage end-to-end IT infrastructure across all retail stores, warehouses, and corporate offices.
- Ensure maximum uptime of business-critical systems and services.
- Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, expansions, and technology refresh initiatives.
- Develop IT policies, standards, and operational procedures.
2. Network Management
- Design, configure, monitor, and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, and Wi-Fi networks.
- Manage routers, switches, access points, and structured cabling infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance and proactively address bottlenecks.
- Troubleshoot network and internet connectivity issues.
3. Information Security & Firewall Management
- Manage firewalls, endpoint security, antivirus, intrusion detection, and prevention systems.
- Conduct periodic security assessments and vulnerability reviews.
- Implement cybersecurity best practices and access control policies.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and threats.
4. CCTV & Surveillance Systems Management
- Manage CCTV surveillance systems across all store and office locations.
- Configure and maintain NVRs, DVRs, IP cameras, and centralised monitoring systems.
- Ensure video retention policies comply with organisational requirements.
- Coordinate surveillance audits and incident investigations.
- Manage alarm systems, intrusion detection devices, and access control systems.
5. Internet & Telecom Management
- Manage broadband, SD-WAN, and backup internet connectivity.
- Coordinate with ISPs for installation, upgrades, and issue resolution.
- Manage corporate mobile connections, SIM cards, and data plans.
- Ensure internet redundancy for critical business operations.
6. Server & Data Centre Management
- Install, configure, maintain, and monitor physical and virtual servers.
- Manage Windows/Linux server environments.
- Oversee Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and authentication services.
- Ensure server performance, security, and high availability.
7. ERP & Business Application Support
- Coordinate ERP implementation, upgrades, and issue resolution.
- Manage application integrations with POS, payment gateways, inventory systems, and third-party applications.
- Ensure availability and performance of business-critical applications.
- Work closely with business teams to identify and implement process improvements.
8. Email & Communication Systems
- Manage email platforms and mail servers.
- Configure user accounts, security policies, and email archiving.
- Troubleshoot email delivery, spam, and security issues.
- Manage collaboration platforms and communication tools.
9. IT Asset Management
- Maintain inventory of all IT assets.
- Track procurement, allocation, maintenance, and disposal of assets.
- Conduct periodic asset audits and lifecycle management.
- Manage software licensing and compliance.
10. Hardware & End User Support
- Oversee support for desktops, laptops, printers, barcode printers, POS systems, biometric devices, and peripherals.
- Ensure timely resolution of user issues.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules.
11. Data Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Design and implement backup strategies for servers, databases, and business applications.
- Conduct periodic backup verification and restoration testing.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
12. Helpdesk & IT Service Management
- Manage IT helpdesk operations and ticketing systems.
- Define and monitor SLAs for incident and service request management.
- Analyze recurring issues and implement permanent solutions.
- Generate IT performance and service reports.
13. Retail Technology Management
- Manage POS systems, payment devices, barcode scanners, and label printers.
- Support store technology initiatives and retail automation projects.
- Ensure smooth integration between retail systems and ERP platforms.
14. Vendor & Contract Management
- Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and technology partners.
- Evaluate vendor performance and service levels.
- Negotiate contracts, renewals, warranties, and support agreements.
15. IT Infrastructure Budget Management
- Prepare annual IT budgets and capital expenditure plans.
- Monitor infrastructure-related expenses.
- Present infrastructure investment proposals to management.
