Job Summary:
The Godown Driver is responsible for safe and timely transportation of goods from godown to clients, transport offices, and company branches. The role includes vehicle maintenance, proper documentation handling, and ensuring safe delivery of materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver goods safely and on time as per dispatch schedule
- Load and unload materials carefully
- Verify invoice, challan, and delivery documents before dispatch
- Obtain proper acknowledgment from clients / transporters
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and basic upkeep
- Follow traffic rules and company safety policies
- Inform management about vehicle servicing and repairs
- Maintain delivery records and submit daily reports
Requirements:
- Valid Driving License (LMV / Commercial)
- Minimum 1–2 years of driving experience (preferably warehouse/godown delivery)
- Basic knowledge of local routes and transport offices
- Ability to handle documents responsibly
- Physically fit for loading/unloading work
