The Role
As an Electrical Designer Level II with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.
- Monitor own progress and ensure it comes within project schedule.
- Produce and check work packs and drawings.
- Guiding designer team in their day to day activities.
- Provide information to assist in the production of detailed drawings, quantities and materials lists.
- Routine equipment selection (involving complex calculations).
- Ensure that the level of design work is appropriate for the complexity of the construction tasks.
- Ensure work done conforms to the applicable specifications, codes and standards.
- Ensure technical Integrity of design deliverables.
- Knowledge and compliance with drafting procedures and drawing systems and applications.
- Knowledge of document control drawing systems.
Additional Attributes
- 3-D modelling and extraction of drawings from model.
- Liaison with other disciplines on technical issues and incorporate comments.
- Liaise with lead engineers regarding development work or construction.
- Liaise with suppliers, clients, consultants or commissioning engineers concerning design, installation or construction.
- Participate in the planning of projects as required.
- Conduct site visit and data gathering.
- Preparation and checking of as-built drawings.
- Assist lead engineer in preparation of material requisition (Requisition For Quotation) for electrical works and bulk materials.
- Assist lead engineer in preparation of technical bid evaluations for electrical works and bulk materials.
- Assist lead engineer in review of vendor drawings for electrical works and bulk materials.
- Maintaining records of drawings and other documents as assigned by Lead Engineer.
- Preparation of transmittals for IDC, ICC and AFC drawings.
- Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the CSG..
- Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the CSG. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- ITI (Draftsman)/Diploma in electrical engineering.
- 8 - 15 years + design experience with oil and Gas, Refinery and Petrochemicals.
- Sound knowledge of AutoCAD/Microstation and S3D/E3D software.
- Added advantages of SmartSketch(S3D) /Draft(E3D) will be considered.
- Preference will be given to candidates with extensive work experience with Oil and Gas, Refinery and Petrochemicals and power projects.
