Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Freight Broker with experience in US Logistics or Canadian Logistics. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in freight brokerage, carrier management, load booking, and customer coordination. Active shipper accounts are mandatory and candidates must have a strong understanding of the transportation and logistics industry.
Key Responsibilities
· Source and secure freight loads from existing and prospective shippers.
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with shippers, carriers, and transportation partners.
· Negotiate freight rates with carriers and customers to maximize profitability.
· Coordinate and monitor shipments from pickup to delivery.
· Ensure timely communication and resolve shipment-related issues.
· Track loads and provide regular updates to customers.
· Maintain accurate records of shipments, pricing, and carrier information.
· Generate new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
· Meet and exceed monthly revenue and performance targets.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· 6 months to 3 years of experience in US Logistics or Canadian Logistics.
· Experience working as a Freight Broker, Freight Dispatcher, or Logistics Coordinator.
· Active shipper accounts are mandatory along with industry contacts.
· Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Good understanding of freight brokerage processes and transportation regulations.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
· Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and load boards.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with DAT, Truckstop, Loadlink, or similar freight management platforms.
· Strong knowledge of FTL, LTL, Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed, and other freight services.
· Proven track record of generating revenue and managing client relationships.
