Contractor Platform Architect CMDB ServiceNow
Responsibilities
CMDB Architecture Ownership Lead the architectural design of the CMDB ensuring accuracy completeness and longterm scalability
Data Integrity Governance Support Partner with the CMDB Manager to uphold governance policies ensuring data quality consistency and compliance with internal and external requirements
Configuration Management Process Design Architect and optimize configuration management processes in line with ITIL and Bookingcom best practices ensuring deep integration with ITSM ITOM and ITAM capabilities
Gradual Maturity Towards CSDM Drive the structured evolution of the CMDB towards full Common Service Data Model CSDM alignment ensuring industrystandard modelling and adaptability to future needs
Wider Platform Architecture Contribution Support the Lead Platform Architect in shaping overall ServiceNow architecture strategy including integration patterns crossdomain capabilities and platform governance frameworks
Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with the Lead Platform Architect AMS the CMDB Manager AMS and crossfunctional teams IT Security Compliance HR Legal Infrastructure to ensure architectural alignment with both business and platform goals
CI Lifecycle Management Oversee and design CI lifecycle processes ensuring traceability audit readiness and integration with automated workflows
Automation Integration Implement architectural patterns for automation and integration between CMDB discovery tools cloud platforms and thirdparty systems
Support Discovery EOL Initiatives Collaborate with the Lead Platform Architect and platform engineering teams on ongoing efforts to address discovery and EOL data challenges across cloud and hybrid environments ensuring CMDB architecture supports and benefits from these improvements
Reporting Insights Use CMDB and platform architecture data to provide actionable insights influence decisions and highlight improvement opportunities
Continuous Improvement Lead architectural continuous improvement initiatives adopting emerging technologies and best practices to enhance platform resilience and scalability
Training Documentation Produce and maintain architectural documentation for CMDB processes and patterns supporting training and knowledge transfer across the platform team
Required Skills
5- 8 years experience in relevant skill areas
CMDB Platform Architecture Expertise 5 years of ServiceNow experience with deep CMDB knowledge and proven platform architecture design capability
Overall industry experience of 12 years in enterprise architecture data management ServiceNow modules and how CMDB supports core processes eg ITSM and IT operations
Technical Proficiency in ServiceNow Strong expertise in CMDB CSDM ITSM ITOM and ITAM including automation and integrations
Process Management ITIL Knowledge Skilled in process architecture data governance and alignment to ITIL best practices
Certifications ServiceNow CSA and CIS certifications in ITSM ITOM or ITAM CSDM certification preferred ITIL certification is highly desirable
Automation Scripting Experience in workflow automation and scripting within ServiceNow to improve efficiency and data accuracy
Cloud Integration Experience Strong track record integrating ServiceNow with AWS GCP Kubernetes and enterprise systems
Analytical DataDriven Ability to transform CMDB and platform data into meaningful actionable insights
Stakeholder Management Able to work across technical and nontechnical audiences building trust and achieving alignment
Collaboration Communication Excellent interpersonal skills working effectively with global teams including daily collaboration with the Lead Platform Architect and CMDB Manager in AMS
Innovation Continuous Improvement Proactive in identifying architectural enhancements and future platform capabilities
