- Assist in the preparation and cooking of Chinese dishes (e.g., stir-fry, dim sum, soups, noodles, fried rice, etc.).
- Follow standard recipes and presentation guidelines to maintain consistency.
- Ensure mise-en-place is prepared and organized before service time.
- Assist in receiving and proper storage of ingredients specific to Chinese cuisine.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the workstation as per HACCP standards.
- Ensure the proper use and care of kitchen equipment used in Chinese cooking (e.g., wok burners, steamers, knives).
- Follow instructions from Chef de Partie or Sous Chef regarding food preparation and service.
- Minimize food wastage through proper portion control and handling.
- Report any equipment malfunction or food safety concern to supervisors immediately.
- Cooperate with other sections of the kitchen and support teamwork.
