About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic SEO Intern who is eager to build a career in Search Engine Optimization and Digital Marketing. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of SEO concepts, strong analytical skills, and a willingness to learn through hands-on experience. The intern will work closely with the SEO team to improve website visibility, increase organic traffic, and support ongoing digital marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in keyword research and competitor analysis.
- Support on-page SEO activities, including:
- Meta titles and descriptions
- Header tag optimization
- URL optimization
- Internal linking
- Assist in publishing and optimizing website content.
- Perform basic off-page SEO activities such as directory submissions, profile creation, and backlink research.
- Monitor website performance using Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
- Conduct website audits and identify SEO improvement opportunities.
- Track keyword rankings and prepare weekly SEO reports.
- Stay updated with Google's latest SEO trends and algorithm updates.
- Collaborate with the content and web development teams to implement SEO recommendations.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of On-Page, Off-Page, and Technical SEO.
- Familiarity with keyword research concepts.
- Basic knowledge of Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
- Understanding of search engines and ranking factors.
- Good research and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and Google Sheets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (completed or pursuing) in Marketing, Computer Science, IT, Business, or a related field.
- Digital Marketing or SEO certification is an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of WordPress or any CMS is a plus.
- Familiarity with SEO tools such as Ubersuggest, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Screaming Frog is desirable but not mandatory.
