Job Summary
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all hospital infrastructure, equipment, utilities, and building services. The role involves preventive and breakdown maintenance, coordinating with vendors, maintaining statutory compliance, and ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of hospital buildings, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and utility systems.
- Monitor the functioning of DG sets, UPS, transformers, compressors, pumps, boilers, lifts, and water supply systems.
- Attend and resolve maintenance complaints from departments within the defined turnaround time.
- Ensure uninterrupted functioning of hospital utilities and critical services.
- Coordinate with external vendors for Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) and repair work.
- Conduct routine inspections of hospital facilities and identify maintenance requirements.
- Maintain service records, maintenance logs, checklists, and equipment history.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, fire safety standards, and statutory requirements.
- Support installation, commissioning, and relocation of equipment and infrastructure.
- Monitor utility consumption and recommend energy-saving initiatives.
- Coordinate with Biomedical, Housekeeping, Security, and other departments during maintenance activities.
- Ensure availability of maintenance tools, consumables, and spare parts.
- Supervise maintenance technicians and contractors to ensure quality work.
- Respond immediately to emergency maintenance issues and utility failures.
- Participate in NABH, fire safety, and quality audits by maintaining required documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare facility.

Pay: ₹12,078.23 - ₹25,000.00 per month
