This role is suited to an engineer who enjoys building device-side software on Linux-based edge devices and deploying solutions that operate reliably in real-world, mission-critical environments.
You will be responsible for developing platform support (scripts, services, installers, ISO images) for Ubuntu Linux. You will integrate our product range with Linux networking stacks, video recording and streaming solutions, Bluetooth services, security and AI libraries, and hardware peripherals including TPMs, GNSS/GPS receivers, GPIO interfaces, and cellular connectivity modules (4G/5G).
The systems you build will be deployed at scale and must meet the expectations of public-sector customers, most notably law-enforcement organizations, where reliability, security, and data integrity are paramount.
The role involves working across the full development lifecycle, including requirements definition, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support. You will collaborate closely with backend, platform, and QA engineers for configuration, installation scripts, logging, provisioning, customer support, and evidence handling.
Prior experience in Ubuntu Linux is essential.
