Enterprise Data & AI Solution Architect
As an Enterprise Data & AI Solution Architect within Darktrace’s TechOps Centre, you will lead the design and evolution of enterprise data, analytics and AI solutions across Darktrace’s Microsoft technology ecosystem.
Working with business, data, technology, security and architecture teams, you will design scalable, secure and governed solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Microsoft Purview, Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio and Co-work.
You will shape how trusted enterprise data products support reporting, analytics, automation and AI-enabled business capabilities. The role will define how Microsoft AI services, copilots and agents securely access enterprise data and knowledge through reusable, observable and governed architecture patterns.
You will help move Microsoft data and AI capabilities from experimentation into reliable, production-ready services that deliver measurable business outcomes.

Lead solution architecture for enterprise data, analytics and AI initiatives across Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Microsoft Purview, Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio and Co-work.

Design end-to-end Microsoft data and AI solutions aligned to Darktrace’s business strategy, target architecture and technology roadmap.

Define reference architectures, solution designs, architecture standards and reusable patterns across Microsoft data and AI platforms.

Lead the design and governance of trusted, reusable and AI-ready enterprise data products within Microsoft Fabric.

Define architectures for data ingestion, transformation, lakehouse, warehousing, semantic modelling, analytics and self-service reporting using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.

Establish data governance, metadata, lineage, classification, data quality and information management patterns using Microsoft Purview.

Design AI-enabled solutions using Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio and Co-work, leveraging enterprise data and knowledge securely and responsibly.

Define architectures for retrieval-augmented generation, enterprise search, knowledge grounding and Microsoft agentic solutions with appropriate governance, security and human oversight.

Define patterns for AI observability, monitoring, evaluation and operational governance to ensure AI services remain trusted, auditable and effective at scale.

Provide architecture leadership, governance and assurance across delivery teams, ensuring solutions align with Azure landing zone, security, resilience and operational standards.

At least five years’ experience in Solution Architecture, Data Architecture or a related architecture role.

Strong experience designing enterprise data, analytics and AI solutions using Microsoft technologies.

Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Microsoft Purview and modern cloud data platforms.

Experience designing AI-enabled solutions using Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio or related Microsoft AI services.

Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, data products, semantic models, data quality, governance and lifecycle management.

Experience with retrieval-augmented generation, enterprise search, knowledge grounding or related AI patterns.

Understanding of Microsoft agentic architecture and secure access to enterprise data, knowledge and services.

Understanding of AI observability, evaluation, monitoring, responsible AI and operational governance.

Experience working within enterprise Azure landing zones and cloud governance frameworks.

Experience with APIs, integration patterns and Microsoft platform services.

Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, secure and supportable solution designs.

Strong architecture governance, stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.

Experience producing architecture diagrams, solution designs and architecture decision records.

Ability to balance strategic direction with pragmatic delivery.

Microsoft certifications across Fabric, Azure, AI, Power BI or Power Platform.

Experience with Co-work, Microsoft 365 Copilot and custom agents.

Experience with enterprise knowledge management and Microsoft 365 extensibility.

Experience with Microsoft Graph, Power Platform or Azure integration services.

Experience with DataOps, MLOps, AI operations, observability or model evaluation.

Experience contributing to enterprise AI operating models and governance frameworks.

Experience with FinOps and cost management for Azure, Fabric and AI workloads.

TOGAF or an equivalent architecture certification.
