We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Baker to lead our bakery operations. The Head Baker will be responsible for overseeing the production of high-quality baked goods, managing the baking team, ensuring consistency in recipes and product quality, maintaining food safety standards, and driving innovation in bakery offerings.
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily bakery production activities.
- Prepare and oversee the production of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods.
- Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all bakery products.
- Develop and refine recipes to improve product offerings and operational efficiency.
- Manage bakery staff, including scheduling, training, performance evaluation, and coaching.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate ordering of ingredients and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Minimize waste and control food costs while maintaining product quality.
- Maintain bakery equipment and coordinate repairs or maintenance as needed.
- Collaborate with management on seasonal menus, promotions, and new product development.
- Ensure timely production and delivery of bakery products to meet business demands.
- Diploma or certification in Baking, Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 4–5 years of professional baking experience, including supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of artisan bread, pastries, cakes, and bakery production techniques.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
