- Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tendering Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing competitive technical and commercial proposals, coordinating with internal departments, reviewing tender documents, and ensuring timely submission of high-quality bids. Experience in geotechnical investigations, surveying, infrastructure, or construction projects will be an added advantage.
- Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
- Identify project scope, technical requirements, and commercial risks.
- Prepare technical and commercial bids in compliance with tender requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, procurement, and finance teams to obtain required inputs for tender preparation.
- Request and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare cost estimates, BOQs, rate analysis, and pricing calculations.
- Ensure all tender documents are complete, accurate, and submitted before the deadline.
- Maintain a database of tender submissions, project records, and bid status.
- Attend pre-bid meetings, client clarification meetings, and site visits when required.
- Prepare tender queries and coordinate responses with clients.
- Assist in contract review, negotiations, and project handover after award.
- Monitor tender portals and identify new business opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and clientrequirements.
- Handle vendor registration and empanelment with government departments, public sector undertakings (PSUs), private organizations, and consultants by preparing, submitting, and tracking all required documentation.
- Maintain and renew empanelment registrations, ensuring all statutory documents, certifications, and company credentials remain valid and up to date.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
2–5 years of experience in tendering, estimation, or proposal engineering.
Experience in construction, geotechnical engineering, surveying, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
Strong understanding of BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and tender documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with AutoCAD is an advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and organizational abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
