Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Service Engineer to handle installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and after-sales support of LT electrical panels. The role involves providing technical support to customers for PCC, MCC, APFC, AMF, VFD, PLC, and distribution panels, ensuring reliable operation and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend customer complaints related to LT electrical panels and provide timely solutions.
- Perform installation, testing, and commissioning of LT panels at customer sites.
- Conduct routine maintenance, preventive maintenance, and breakdown services.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults in PCC, MCC, APFC, AMF, VFD, and control panels.
- Carry out panel inspection, functional testing, and fault analysis.
- Verify power circuits, control circuits, protection settings, and interlocking systems.
- Read and understand electrical drawings, SLDs, GA drawings, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
- Perform testing using electrical test equipment such as multimeter, clamp meter, and insulation tester (Megger).
- Check and troubleshoot components like ACB, MCCB, MCB, contactors, relays, timers, CTs, meters, and protection devices.
- Support customer during commissioning, trial runs, and handover activities.
- Coordinate with production, design, and project teams for technical issue resolution.
- Prepare service reports, site visit reports, and customer feedback records.
- Provide basic training to customer operators regarding panel operation and maintenance.
- Follow electrical safety procedures during site work.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and maintain professional relationships.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in LT panel manufacturing, installation, or commissioning.
- Experience in industrial electrical systems and low-voltage switchgear.
Technical Skills Required:
- Good knowledge of LT panels:
- PCC (Power Control Centre)
- MCC (Motor Control Centre)
- APFC Panels
- AMF Panels
- VFD Panels
- Distribution Boards
- Automation Control Panels
- Ability to interpret:
- Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
- Control Wiring Diagrams
- GA Drawings
- Terminal Schedules
- Knowledge of:
- ACB, MCCB, MCB, MPCB
- Contactors and overload relays
- Protection relays
- CT/PT connections
- Energy meters and multifunction meters
- Basic understanding of PLC, HMI, and VFD troubleshooting is preferred.
- Knowledge of LT electrical testing and commissioning procedures.
