Data Entry and Computer Operators are responsible for accurately inputting, updating, and maintaining organizational databases. They convert raw information into digital formats, verify data for errors, generate reports, and perform routine computer maintenance to ensure seamless day-to-day office operations. - Data Input & Transcription: Quickly and accurately enter data from various sources into digital databases, spreadsheets, or company software. [1, 2]
- Verification & Correction: Review data for discrepancies, cross-check against original documents, and resolve inconsistencies.
- Database Maintenance: Update and organize digital and physical filing systems, ensuring files are easily retrievable.
- Reporting & Documentation: Generate data reports, charts, and summaries as requested by management.
- System & Equipment Operation: Manage peripheral devices (printers, scanners, fax machines) and perform basic system troubleshooting.
- Data Security & Backup: Create regular data backups and ensure the strict confidentiality of sensitive company and customer information.
Key Requirements & Skills
- Typing Speed & Accuracy: High WPM (Words Per Minute) with a low error rate.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database management programs.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot minor errors in large volumes of text or numbers.
- Age criteria 18 to 29 years
