Job Description:
Having strong hands-on experience in Drupal implementations including architecture, custom development, and integrations with third-party applications. Contributing across the full development lifecycle including estimations, technical design, development, code reviews, testing, deployment, and documentation.
The candidate should be a strong technical leader and team player, working closely with designers, architects, developers, testers, and clients. You will be working in a fast-paced environment solving complex and scalable enterprise problems, while also mentoring team members and driving best practices.
Roles & Responsibilities
- He/She should be proactive in driving development standards, new flow designs, and security best practices
- Lead the development of new user-facing features and enterprise-scale applications
- Build reusable code and frameworks for future use across projects
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clients, stakeholders, UX/UI teams, and DevOps
- Play a vital role in leading development teams, code reviews, testing, release planning, and deployment
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, quality guidelines, and best practices
- Drive CI/CD practices to enable faster and efficient delivery cycles
- Work on integration of Drupal with APIs, third-party platforms, and enterprise systems
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level developers
- Ensure implementation of security, compliance, and accessibility standards
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- 7+ years of IT experience with at least 5+ years in Drupal development (Drupal 8/9/10)
- Strong experience in Core PHP with MVC/MVVM architecture
- Expertise in creating custom Drupal modules, themes, and enterprise integrations
- Strong knowledge of MySQL/MariaDB and database optimization techniques
- Strong knowledge of web technologies (PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Twig)
- Experience in OOPS concepts and API development (REST/GraphQL)
- Strong experience in CI/CD practices and DevOps pipelines
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage deliverables in Agile/Scrum environments
- Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to understand and evaluate the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Experience in performance tuning and web vitals optimization (including Twig level implementations)
- Passion for open source development and delivering excellent customer experience
Good to Have
- Acquia Drupal Certification
- Experience in Headless Drupal (React / Angular / Vue)
- Experience working with Acquia-hosted projects
- Exposure to Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with containerization (Docker)
- Understanding of testing practices (TDD / BDD)
