Employment Type: Contractual (One Year, extendable based on performance)
About Cyril Academy
Cyril Academy is an initiative of CINI (Child in Need Institute) founded in year 2020. It is an English Medium, Co.-Ed. School which follows CBSE curriculum. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher who can inspire young learners through innovative and activity-based teaching.
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualification
- B.Sc. with B.Ed. or D.El.Ed.
Preferred
- 1–2 years of teaching experience in an English Medium School.
Age
Language Proficiency
- Fluent in English (essential)
- Knowledge of Bengali and Hindi
Desired Profile
The ideal candidate should have:
- Strong understanding of Environmental Science and General Science at the primary level.
- Experience in conducting activity-based and experiential learning.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A dynamic, energetic, and child-friendly approach to teaching.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and engage effectively with parents.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Science lessons for primary students using innovative and hands-on teaching methods.
- Prepare lesson plans and conduct continuous student assessments.
- Foster scientific thinking, curiosity, observation, and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Develop teaching-learning materials and promote environmental awareness.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress.
- Participate in curriculum planning, staff meetings, school events, and co-curricular activities.
- Organize Science exhibitions, nature walks, quizzes, model-making activities, and other enrichment programmes.
- Continuously enhance professional competencies through training and workshops.
Salary
₹12,000 per month (Negotiable)
