Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Welding Supervisor to oversee welding operations at our Indore facility. The role demands strong technical knowledge of welding processes, quality compliance, and the ability to lead a team effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day welding operations and ensure timely, quality output
- Plan and assign tasks to team members as per production schedules
- Monitor welding processes (SMAW, MIG, TIG, SAW) for quality and technical compliance
- Inspect completed welds against project specifications and applicable codes (IS, AWS, ASME)
- Train, mentor, and guide welders to improve productivity and skill levels
- Identify and resolve weld defects and quality deviations promptly
- Maintain records of welding procedures, inspection reports, and production logs
- Coordinate with QC and engineering teams for WPS/PQR qualifications
- Ensure all operations comply with safety and environmental regulations
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma / ITI in Welding Technology or Mechanical Engineering
- 5–6 years of experience in welding / fabrication / electrode manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of welding processes: SMAW, MIG/MAG, TIG, SAW, FCAW
- Familiarity with welding codes: IS 814, AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX
- Ability to read engineering drawings, weld symbols, and WPS documents
- Experience supervising a team of welders preferred
- Knowledge of NDT methods (VT, DPT, UT, RT) is an advantage
