About the Role
We are looking for a knowledgeable and responsible Accountant who can manage our day-to-day finance and accounts while keeping a close eye on cash flow, working capital and statutory compliance.
We are not looking for someone who only enters transactions and prepares GST returns. We need a person who understands where the company's money is coming from, where it is going, when payments are due, and how to maintain healthy cash flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting, vouchers, entries, bank reconciliation and ledger scrutiny.
- Monitor daily/weekly cash flow and prepare cash-flow forecasts.
- Track receivables and payables and follow up for timely collections.
- Plan upcoming payments and ensure sufficient funds are available.
- Monitor customer outstanding, supplier dues and working capital.
- Ensure timely GST, TDS, PF, ESIC and other statutory payments/returns as applicable.
- Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, MIS and financial reports.
- Coordinate with CA, auditors, banks and other financial institutions.
- Verify purchase invoices, sales invoices, expenses and supporting documents.
- Identify unnecessary expenses, financial leakages and opportunities to improve working capital.
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure accounting accuracy and compliance.
- Support management with financial information for better business decisions.
What We Are Looking For
We need a person who:
- Has strong practical knowledge of accounting and taxation.
- Clearly understands cash flow and working capital management.
- Can independently manage day-to-day accounts.
- Takes ownership of statutory compliance and deadlines.
- Has good knowledge of Tally / ERP and MS Excel.
- Is analytical, systematic and detail-oriented.
- Can communicate confidently with customers, suppliers, banks and professional consultants.
- Understands that profit shown in the books does not necessarily mean cash available in the bank.
- Is trustworthy, responsible and capable of working independently.
Qualification
B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / equivalent qualification with relevant practical experience.
