Job Description: Social Studies Teacher (ICSE – High School) Position Overview
We are looking for a knowledgeable and passionate Social Studies Teacher to teach History, Civics, and Geography to High School students as per the ICSE curriculum. The ideal candidate will make social studies engaging and relevant, helping students develop critical thinking, civic awareness, and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in History, Civics, and Geography as per the ICSE syllabus.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, and assessments aligned with ICSE guidelines and examination patterns.
- Encourage critical thinking, research skills, and analytical reasoning among students through discussions, projects, and case studies.
- Use maps, charts, models, audio-visual aids, and digital tools to make lessons interactive and effective.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through class tests, projects, and periodic examinations; maintain accurate records.
- Prepare students for ICSE board examinations, including guidance on paper patterns, internal assessments, and project work.
- Guide students on ICSE-specified projects (e.g., History & Civics project work, Geography practical/map work).
- Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support or additional guidance to students as needed.
- Organize and participate in co-curricular activities such as quizzes, debates, model UN, heritage walks, and educational field trips.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and academic performance.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, interdisciplinary projects, and school events.
- Stay updated with changes in the ICSE curriculum, examination patterns, and pedagogical best practices.
Required Qualifications
- M.A. in History or Geography (or a related Social Science discipline). - MANDATORY
- B.Ed. (preferably with the relevant subject as a teaching method/specialization). - MANDATORY
- Prior teaching experience in an ICSE school, especially at the high school level, is preferred. - MANDATORY
- Familiarity with the ICSE Council's curriculum, assessment structure, and project guidelines.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
