Job Title
Senior / Lead .NET Developer - Headless API Architecture
Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior / Lead .NET Developer to lead the design and development of a headless (API-first) application by modernizing an existing web application built using .NET Framework, MVC, and workflow server. The role requires strong backend expertise, architectural thinking, and leadership to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable APIs.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Responsibilities
- Analyze the existing ASP.NET MVC (.NET Framework) application and design a headless architecture
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using both .NET Framework and .NET Core Web API
- Modernize legacy ASMX web services and integrate them with REST-based APIs where applicable
- Design APIs suitable for microservice-oriented architecture
- Apply SOLID principles, coding standards, and best practices
- Manage session handling and caching strategies, ensuring stateless and scalable API design
- Integrate APIs with workflow servers and backend systems
- Optimize applications for performance, security, and scalability
- Read, understand, and refactor existing legacy code with minimal functional impact
Leadership & Collaboration
- Act as technical lead for backend/API development
- Conduct code reviews, enforce quality standards, and mentor team members
- Participate in architecture and design discussions
- Collaborate closely with frontend, QA, DevOps, and product stakeholders
- Ensure documentation and knowledge sharing through standard tools

- Experience migrating monolithic applications to headless or API-driven architectures
- Knowledge of API security (OAuth, JWT, token-based authentication)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Experience Level
- 7+ years of experience in .NET development
- Prior experience as a Senior or Lead Developer preferred
