Job Summary
We are looking for experienced Business Consultants based in India who can help us expand our client network by identifying businesses — in India and internationally — that require software development or IT consulting services.
This is a hybrid role available as either a freelance/commission-based partnership or a permanent position, designed for professionals who already have strong business connections, industry relationships, or experience in technology consulting/sales.
Your primary responsibility will be to generate qualified business opportunities and build client relationships, while our technical team handles complete project execution — from requirement analysis and proposal preparation to development, deployment, and post-launch support.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage startups, SMEs, enterprises, and organizations looking for software development or digital transformation services
- Generate qualified business opportunities through your professional network, referrals, partnerships, cold outreach, or other business development activities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with founders, business owners, CXOs, and key decision-makers
- Understand client business objectives and identify opportunities where technology solutions can add value
- Schedule discovery meetings and coordinate discussions between prospective clients and our consulting team
- Participate in client meetings to understand project requirements and support business discussions
- Present our software development and technology consulting capabilities to prospective clients
- Work closely with the pre-sales team during solution discussions, proposal presentations, and commercial negotiations
- Maintain regular follow-ups with prospects throughout the sales cycle
- Ensure smooth transition from sales to project onboarding after deal closure
- Identify opportunities for repeat business, long-term engagements, and strategic partnerships
- Represent the company professionally while maintaining high ethical and business standards
- Stay informed about industry trends, market opportunities, and emerging technology requirements within your network
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in Business Consulting, IT Consulting, Technology Sales, Business Development, or a related field
- Strong professional network within India (additional international network is a plus)
- Experience working with startups, SMBs, mid-market companies, or enterprise clients
- Proven ability to generate and nurture B2B business opportunities
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Strong understanding of software development services and digital transformation projects
- Self-motivated, result-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a hybrid/remote environment
- Previous experience working with software development companies or IT consulting firms is an added advantage
