Position Summary
The Logistics Executive shall be responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and controlling all inbound and outbound logistics activities related to ENA (Extra Neutral Alcohol), Ethanol, DDGS, DWGS, raw materials, packaging materials, and other plant requirements. The role ensures timely dispatches, statutory compliance, vehicle management, inventory coordination, and customer satisfaction while maintaining safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics Planning & Coordination
- Plan and coordinate daily dispatches of ENA, Ethanol, DDGS, and DWGS.
- Arrange and monitor transportation vehicles as per dispatch schedules.
- Coordinate with production, stores, weighbridge, security, and customers for smooth movement of materials.
- Ensure availability of tankers, trucks, and other transport vehicles for dispatch operations.
- Optimize vehicle utilization and freight costs.
Dispatch Management
- Prepare and verify dispatch schedules based on customer orders and sales plans.
- Monitor loading and unloading activities.
- Ensure timely dispatch of finished goods to customers.
- Track vehicle movement and delivery status until material reaches the customer destination.
- Resolve transportation delays and logistics-related issues.
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and verify e-way bills, invoices, delivery challans, transport permits, gate passes, and dispatch documents.
- Maintain statutory records related to ethanol and alcohol transportation.
- Coordinate with government authorities and transport agencies whenever required.
- Ensure compliance with excise regulations, GST requirements, and transportation norms.
Inventory & Warehouse Coordination
- Coordinate with stores and warehouse teams regarding stock availability.
- Monitor inventory movement and maintain dispatch records.
- Reconcile dispatched quantities with production and inventory reports.
- Support periodic stock verification and audits.
Transporter Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with transporters and logistics service providers.
- Negotiate transportation rates and service terms.
- Monitor transporter performance and ensure timely vehicle placement.
- Evaluate logistics vendors based on cost, service, and compliance.
MIS & Reporting
- Maintain daily logistics reports and dispatch records.
- Prepare vehicle utilization reports, freight analysis, and delivery performance reports.
- Track logistics costs and suggest cost-saving initiatives.
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly logistics performance reports to management.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to company safety procedures during loading, unloading, and transportation.
- Verify safety compliance of tankers and transport vehicles carrying ENA and Ethanol.
- Ensure proper documentation and PPE compliance for transport personnel entering the plant.
- Support internal and external audits related to logistics and dispatch operations.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Graduate in Commerce, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Diploma/Certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
- Any graduate with related filed experience.
Experience
- 5 to 8 years of experience in logistics, dispatch, transportation, warehouse, or supply chain operations.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Distillery, Ethanol, Alcohol, Chemical, FMCG, Manufacturing, or Process Industries.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of logistics operations and dispatch management.
- Familiarity with GST documentation, e-way bills, invoices, and transport documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and logistics reporting.
- Knowledge of inventory management and warehouse coordination.
