Key Responsibilities:
- Invoicing & Documentation: Generate, review, and issue accurate invoices, credit memos, and reports to customers in a timely manner.
- Payment Processing: Process payments (credit cards, checks) and post them to customer accounts, ensuring accurate cash flow tracking.
- Accounts Receivable Management: Monitor client accounts for overdue payments, send payment reminders, and assist with collection activities.
- Query Resolution: Address client inquiries and disputes concerning invoices, payments, or account errors, ensuring timely resolution.
- Data Maintenance: Maintain up-to-date customer files, including billing addresses, payment terms, and contact information.
- Financial Reporting: Assist with month-end closing procedures and prepare daily, weekly, or monthly billing reports for management.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Billing Clerk.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and billing software.
- Accuracy & Detail: High attention to detail to identify discrepancies in billing data.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for communicating with customers regarding payments.
- Education: A high school diploma is often sufficient, but a degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred by some employers.
