Role summary
We are hiring an experienced Cloud Trainer to deliver hands-on instructor-led sessions on Google Cloud Platform and multi-cloud fundamentals (GCP, AWS, Azure awareness). You will train learners to deploy, run, and operate applications and ML workloads on cloud platforms, focusing on practical labs and project support. This is a steady part-time role with fixed monthly pay, ideal for working cloud engineers or freelancers.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver instructor-led, hands-on training on GCP core services and cloud deployment workflows.
- Teach containerization (Docker), basic orchestration concepts (GKE/Kubernetes overview), CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code fundamentals (Terraform).
- Cover essential AWS fundamentals (EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, VPC) and basic Azure awareness to provide multi-cloud context.
- Teach GCP for AI/ML: Vertex AI, BigQuery ML, and ML pipeline basics using Cloud Build.
- Guide learners through deploying full-stack apps and ML models to the cloud; provide active project support and troubleshooting.
- Design and run lab exercises using GCP Console and CLI; ensure sessions are hands-on rather than slide-heavy.
- Coordinate with in-house technical mentors to align cloud training with coding curriculum and project timelines.
- Maintain up-to-date practical knowledge of cloud services and incorporate real-world use cases.
Required qualifications and skills
- 3–6 years of hands-on, professional experience using GCP in production or client projects (practical experience required; not only coursework).
- Currently using GCP in your job or freelance engagements (knowledge must be current).
- Strong working knowledge of: Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions/Run, IAM, VPC, BigQuery.
- Regular Docker usage: building images, running containers, basic debugging, pushing to registries.
- Experience with at least one CI/CD tool (GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, Jenkins, etc.) and at least one pipeline implemented end-to-end.
- Basic AWS knowledge: EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, VPC — sufficient to teach fundamentals and cross-cloud concepts.
- Comfortable with Linux command line, SSH, and basic troubleshooting.
- GCP Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect certification (or willingness to obtain within 3 months).
- Strong communication and teaching ability in English; experience explaining complex topics to freshers.
- Based in Hyderabad and available to attend Cyber Towers daily for the agreed half-day shift.
Desirable (good to have)
- Hands-on Terraform experience (IaC: plan, apply, modules).
- Kubernetes / GKE practical experience.
- Familiarity with Azure basics (VMs, App Services, AKS) to support multi-cloud comparisons.
- Experience with monitoring tools (Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Deeper networking knowledge (load balancers, DNS, firewalls, SSL/TLS).
- Prior training, mentoring, or teaching experience.
- Multiple cloud certifications (GCP + AWS).
