About the Role
The Out Factory is looking for a Junior Architect to join our design team and help shape the next generation of glamping spaces. This role sits at the intersection of architecture and product design: you will draft layouts and drawings for real projects (predominantly circular / round forms) while also contributing to the design and prototyping of new glamping products. It's a strong fit for someone who is equally comfortable behind a drafting table and out on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft floor plans, masterplans, interior layouts, working drawings, and MEP drawings, all designed within circular/round geometries.
- Design new glamping products, from concept through material research and physical prototyping.
- Build accurate, presentation-ready 3D models of designs for internal review, client presentations, and construction reference.
- Coordinate directly with clients to understand requirements and communicate design intent.
- Coordinate with site teams and contractors to ensure drawings are correctly interpreted and executed on the ground.
- Support material research and sourcing for both built structures and product prototypes.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
- 0–2 years of experience; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong proficiency in 3D modelling software, SketchUp preferred, or equivalent tools such as Rhino, Revit, or AutoCAD 3D.
- Solid drafting skills, including working drawings and coordination with MEP layouts.
- Comfort designing within non-standard, curved/circular geometries.
- A hands-on interest in materials, prototyping, and product development, not just building design.
- Good communication skills for client-facing and site coordination work.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
