IT Infrastructure Project Manager - Technology, Engineering, and
Operations
Role Summary
We are looking to recruit a Project Manager for an IT Infrastructure
focused role.
In this role you will be the focal point for leading several small to
medium sized IT Infrastructure Projects across Europe, MENA, India, and
APAC Regions. The role will also have the opportunity for exposure /
involvement in larger Infrastructure Projects and Programmes within
International Health.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing several small to medium projects and/or programme
work-streams in parallel that may include Physical and Virtual
Endpoints, new Office set-ups, Cloud Migrations, Networking,
Infrastructure Security, and Technology Upgrade (hardware and/or
software) Projects.
- Co-ordinating Stakeholders and activities throughout the project’s
lifecycle from Initiation to Closure to implement successful
Infrastructure Solutions.
- Working closely with internal and external IT/Business Partners to
deliver assigned projects within the Infrastructure Portfolio,
including Application and Service Delivery teams and European, US,
Middle East, India, and Asia Pacific based Engineering teams.
Candidates should have a strong interest in and knowledge of
Infrastructure technology areas such Cloud Services, Networking,
Endpoint User Services etc.
The successful candidate will be an experienced and high-performing
individual who is methodical, inquisitive, and has a passion for
delivering technology and service with a strong desire to learn and grow
their career.
Agile delivery experience using tools such as Jira would be an
advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Work within defined Project Management processes and methodologies
to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to
high quality standards, and meet the customer expectations.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and the PMO for
Project activities.
- Work closely with Portfolio Lead and Finance teams to establish a
Financial Plan for the project and manage the plan in accordance
with agreed budgets.
- Clearly define the scope of the project in terms of the key
activities and decisions required to successfully execute. Ensure
scope is clearly defined / decomposed in Jira and work assigned to
the appropriate team members.
- Identify and define Roles & Responsibilities for Project activities.
- Develop and manage a robust delivery plan for each Project,
including appropriate milestones and review points for measuring
progress.
- Rigorously manage project scope to ensure commitments are achieved
within agreed upon time, cost, and quality parameters.
- Provide timely communication of project status, performance results,
issues and risks to schedule, cost, and quality to project
stakeholders.
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrable experience (5 years minimum) in the delivery of IT
Infrastructure Projects, with a significant emphasis a track record
of accomplishment bringing credibility to engagements.
- Experience within IT Infrastructure environments.
- Familiarity with the deployment and/or migration of services for IT
Security and Cloud.
- Experience overseeing all aspects of Projects, including planning,
resource allocation, budget management, requirements capture,
design, and delivery execution through to handover to Production
Support.
- Excellent people management and interpersonal skills
- Fluent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively navigate a highly matrixed organization
working across multiple time-zones to support project delivery.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Microsoft Project,
Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.
- Experience in Agile tools (JIRA), collaboration tools (Confluence,
SharePoint etc.) and ServiceNow would be advantageous.
Education / Qualifications
- Bachelor//'s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business
Administration, or similar field.
- Knowledge of, qualifications and/or certifications in industry
standard project management methodologies such as PMP, Prince2 or
Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is desirable.
