MEP Engineer – Job Responsibilities
10-15 years of experience - B.Tech Electrical / Mechanical engineering with sufficient experience
- Review and monitor MEP design drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and technical
- submittals to ensure completeness and compliance with project requirements.
- Ensure all MEP works comply with project specifications, approved drawings, National
- Building Code (NBC), relevant Indian Standards (IS), local authority regulations, and statutory
- requirements.
- Identify, coordinate, and resolve clashes between HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting,
- ELV, and civil/architectural systems to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Prepare and monitor MEP execution schedules, track procurement status of materials and
- equipment, and ensure timely delivery to meet project milestones.
- Assist in budgeting, cost planning, cost control, and value engineering initiatives related to
- MEP systems.
- Supervise and monitor installation works to ensure all MEP systems are executed using
- approved materials and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality
- standards, including but not limited to: HVAC Systems, Electrical Systems, Plumbing &
- Drainage Systems, Fire Fighting & Fire Alarm Systems, ELV Systems (CCTV, Access Control, PA
- System, Data & Voice Networks), Building Management Systems (BMS), Guest Room
- Management Systems (GRMS), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Water Treatment Plants
- (WTP)
- Conduct inspections, quality checks, and regular site audits to verify workmanship, installation
- quality, and compliance with approved specifications and standards.
- Witness and monitor testing, commissioning, and performance verification of all MEP systems
- and ensure successful handover in a fully operational condition.
- Ensure all MEP activities comply with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements
- and project safety management procedures.
- Coordinate and monitor MEP contractors and subcontractors regarding progress, manpower
- deployment, material availability, productivity, and closure of snags and punch-list items.
- Track MEP milestones and proactively identify risks, delays, and corrective actions required to
- maintain project schedules.
- Verify contractor measurements, running account (RA) bills, variation orders, change orders,
- and support final account reconciliation and settlement.
- Coordinate with statutory authorities and consultants for obtaining all required approvals,
- inspections, certifications, and clearances related to MEP systems.
- Coordinate the handover of MEP systems to the operations team by ensuring completion and
- approval of O&M manuals, as-built drawings, warranties, training programs, and handover
- documentation.
- Maintain and manage all MEP project documentation, including inspection requests, test
- reports, material approvals, shop drawings, method statements, commissioning records, asbuilt
- drawings, and O&M manuals.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly progress reports highlighting work status, key
- achievements, procurement updates, quality observations, testing and commissioning status,
- risks, and corrective actions.
- Attend project review meetings and coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and
- client representatives to ensure effective communication and timely resolution of technical
- and execution-related issues.
Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
