- Review, draft, revise, and negotiate a wide range of agreements in English with customers, vendors, resellers, and other third parties, including master agreements, data licences, software and intellectual property licences, consulting and services agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other standard and non-standard agreements related to the company’s products and services, in accordance with contracting policies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and capability to build strong, trusted and effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders across different functions and cultures, positively influencing the behavior of multiple stakeholders, and successfully balancing legal issues against pragmatic commercial solutions.
- Where necessary, coordinate the localisation and translation of standard contracts and review outsourced translations of legal documents.
- Sharing responsibility for maintaining, updating and revising contract template agreements, processes and playbooks, supporting and leading on special projects where required.
- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations that may impact the business and implementing internal controls, policies and procedures to assure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, corporate policies, ethical standards and overseeing adherence to contractual obligations.
- Identify, assess, and brief senior lawyers including but not limited to Assistant General Counsel and General Counsel on potential and actual risks and legal exposures, and support proactive and remedial measures where appropriate.
- Contribute to compliance initiatives by tracking, advising on, and implementing processes that support the company’s continued compliance with an evolving regulatory environment, and help roll out ethics and compliance initiatives and training across the supported regions.
- Coordinating legal matters handled by external counsel or managed legal service providers.
- Training L&C team and/or business/function stakeholders.
- Undertake other duties as reasonably requested by the line manager or director on a temporary or permanent basis.

Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, and aptitude for learning and using new software tools. Familiarity with AI-enabled tools would be an advantage.

Able to work independently and interact with staff (at all levels) to provide support, expertise and advice to assist in achieving geographical and global objectives effectively and efficiently.

- Strong ability to draft and negotiate contracts in English – drafting and negotiating in other languages is an advantage.
- Qualified to practice in India, Singapore, Malaysia or UK and registered member of a Bar Council (or the equivalent regulatory body in the country of such registration) AND possess law degree from an accredited tier-one law school.
- Sound administrative and time management skills, with sharp attention to detail.
- Must have experience working on complex transactional matters and the ability to take immediate ownership of matters (with escalation support, as needed).
- Exposure to financial services and technology environments is advantageous
- Previous managerial experience to oversee a team and ability to lead project workstreams
