Your work profile
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA PP/DS Consultant with strong expertise in S/4HANA Embedded PP/DS and/or APO PP/DS to drive solution design, implementation, rollout, and support initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep functional knowledge of advanced production planning and detailed scheduling, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions that improve planning efficiency, sequencing, and manufacturing execution.
Your work profile
- Lead SAP PP/DS implementation, rollout, enhancement, and support initiatives across business units.
- Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into functional and scalable SAP PP/DS solutions.
- Configure and optimize PP/DS functionalities including heuristics, optimizer, planning board, and product view.
- Manage and troubleshoot CIF integration to ensure seamless data flow across planning and execution processes.
- Set up and maintain key master data objects such as PDS/PPM, resources, work centers, and production versions.
- Design and implement solutions for finite scheduling, capacity planning, and sequencing strategies.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across PP, MM, SD, QM, and EWM to deliver integrated business solutions.
- Support testing activities including unit testing, SIT, and UAT, and ensure successful defect resolution.
- Provide production support, root-cause analysis, and timely resolution of planning and scheduling issues.
- Drive planning performance improvements through optimizer tuning and effective use of heuristics.
Key skills required
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP PP/DS, including APO PP/DS and/or S/4HANA Embedded PP/DS.
- 6-10 Years of experience
- Deep expertise in PP/DS heuristics, optimizer, planning board, and detailed scheduling processes.
- Strong knowledge of CIF integration and related master data and transactional data flows.
- Solid understanding of SAP PP and manufacturing planning processes.
- Good knowledge of MRP, MPS, Make-to-Stock (MTS), and Make-to-Order (MTO) scenarios.
- Basic ABAP debugging skills.
- Experience with BAdIs and user exits.
- Exposure to SAP Fiori apps and related user experience capabilities.
- Familiarity with SAP IBP integration is an added advantage.
Experience in manufacturing-focused industries such as Automotive, Industrial Manufacturing, or FMCG is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven stakeholder management and client engagement capabilities.
- Ability to lead workshops, requirement discussions, and solution playback sessions.
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional and global teams.
- Education: BE/Btech/Any full time graduation
- SAP certification in PP, PP/DS, or APO is preferred.
- Experience in S/4HANA transformation programs and global rollout initiatives.
- Exposure to SAP IBP integration and advanced planning processes is a plus.
