Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and innovative Embedded Systems Designer to join our R&D team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and testing embedded hardware and firmware solutions. This role involves working on the complete product development lifecycle, from concept and prototype development to product validation and production support.
The successful candidate will have strong expertise in embedded programming, microcontroller-based system design, hardware debugging, and communication protocols to develop reliable, high-performance embedded products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test embedded hardware and firmware for new and existing products.
- Develop efficient, reliable, and optimized embedded software using Embedded C/C++.
- Design electronic schematics and support PCB design, hardware bring-up, and validation activities.
- Interface and integrate peripherals and communication interfaces including:
- UART
- SPI
- I2C
- CAN
- USB
- Ethernet
- GPIO
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize embedded hardware and firmware for performance, stability, and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with hardware, software, mechanical, and testing teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, firmware documentation, and test reports.
- Support prototype development, product testing, validation, certification, and production release.
- Ensure designs comply with quality standards, safety requirements, and industry best practices.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay updated with emerging embedded technologies and recommend improvements for future product development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in embedded systems design and development.
- Strong programming skills in Embedded C/C++.
- Hands-on experience with microcontrollers such as:
- ARM Cortex
- STM32
- PIC
- AVR
- ESP32
- or equivalent platforms
- Experience with communication protocols including:
- UART
- SPI
- I2C
- CAN
- USB
- Ethernet
- Familiarity with RTOS concepts such as FreeRTOS.
- Experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, KiCad, Eagle, or similar software is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience using debugging and testing tools including:
- JTAG Debuggers
- Oscilloscopes
- Logic Analyzers
- Multimeters
- Proficiency with version control systems such as Git.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of IoT-based product development.
- Experience with wireless communication technologies such as:
- Wi-Fi
- Bluetooth
- Zigbee
- LoRa
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols.
- Exposure to Embedded Linux development is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple development tasks and meet project deadlines.
