A Loan Disbursement Team (or Loan Operations Team) is responsible for the final stage of the lending process: releasing funds to the borrower after ensuring all legal, credit, and documentation checks are met. This team acts as the bridge between credit approval and loan activation.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Document Verification: Ensuring all loan agreements, KYC documents, security documents, and bank mandates (e.g., NACH/ECS) are accurate, signed, and legally compliant.
- Pre-Disbursement Checks: Verifying that all conditions mentioned in the sanction letter are met.
- Fund Release: Processing the final disbursement via NEFT, RTGS, or check in accordance with the bank’s policies and the customer's agreement.
- System Entry (Loan Management System): Entering, updating, and managing data in the software to activate the loan and initiate the repayment schedule.
- Coordination: Working closely with Credit, Sales, Legal, and Finance teams to resolve discrepancies and minimize turnaround time (TAT).
- Compliance & Audit: Ensuring all files are audit-ready and compliant with internal and regulatory norms.
- Stakeholder Management: Communicating with customers to inform them of disbursement status and resolving queries post-approval.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.Com, Finance, or Business Administration preferred).
- Experience: 1-5 years in banking operations, loan processing, or disbursement for banks, NBFCs, or FinTechs.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with Core Banking Systems (CBS) or Loan Management Systems (LMS).
- Key Skills: High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, understanding of legal loan documentation, and ability to meet strict deadlines.
