KK Exports is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to support our manufacturing operations across precision assemblies, fabricated components, and export-grade hardware. You’ll work directly with senior engineers and shop-floor teams to take designs from CAD through assembly, inspection, and shipment. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants ownership beyond the drawing board.
Responsibilities
- Produce and revise 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks
- Apply GD&T and engineering tolerances correctly for machined, sheet metal, and fabricated parts
- Coordinate with machine shops, vendors, and assembly technicians to resolve manufacturing issues
- Review incoming parts against drawings; participate in dimensional inspection and quality checks
- Support assembly planning, BOMs, fixture design, and process documentation
- Take on adjacent tasks as needed: vendor follow-ups, logistics coordination, sourcing, quality reporting, and customer/partner communication
- Communicate clearly with international clients and engineering partners in English (written and spoken)
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a manufacturing or product development environment
- Demonstrated SolidWorks proficiency — parts, assemblies, drawings, and tolerance stack-ups
- Hands-on experience with assembly manufacturing and shop-floor coordination
- Fluent English, both written and spoken (this role involves direct communication with overseas teams and clients)
- Willingness to work extended hours and night shifts to overlap with US/international time zones during active projects
- Genuine interest in taking on non-design responsibilities and growing into a broader operational role
Preferred
- Experience with precision machining, brazing, or vacuum/thermal hardware
- Familiarity with export documentation and international shipping
- Exposure to inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, surface finish)
- Comfort with Excel, basic data work, and structured documentation
What we offer
- Competitive salary based on experience
- Direct exposure to advanced manufacturing projects and international customers
- Fast career growth into senior engineering or operations roles
- Collaborative team with strong technical mentorship
How to apply
Submit your resume along with a brief note about a project where you took a design from drawing to finished assembly. Portfolios with sample SolidWorks drawings are welcomed.
