Job Summary
Chandigarh Mother & Child Hospital, Kurali, is looking for an experienced and dedicated Consultant Pediatrician to join our medical team immediately. The selected doctor will be responsible for providing comprehensive pediatric care to infants, children, and adolescents, including OPD consultations, inpatient management, emergency care, and newborn assessment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pediatric OPD consultations and provide appropriate diagnosis and treatment.
- Manage admitted pediatric patients and monitor their clinical progress.
- Attend pediatric emergencies and provide timely medical intervention.
- Assess and manage newborns and infants requiring pediatric care.
- Diagnose and treat common and complex pediatric illnesses.
- Prescribe medications, investigations, and treatment plans as clinically required.
- Provide vaccination and preventive healthcare guidance to parents.
- Counsel parents and families regarding treatment, nutrition, growth, development, and follow-up care.
- Coordinate with gynecologists, nursing staff, and other consultants for mother and child healthcare.
- Maintain accurate patient records, prescriptions, investigation reports, and discharge summaries.
- Ensure proper clinical documentation and compliance with hospital protocols.
- Participate in emergency and on-call duties as required.
- Maintain high standards of patient safety, confidentiality, medical ethics, and professional conduct.
Qualification Requirements
- MBBS from a recognized medical institution.
- MD / DNB / DCH in Pediatrics or equivalent recognized postgraduate qualification.
- Valid registration with the relevant State Medical Council / National Medical Commission.
- Previous clinical experience in Pediatrics is preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to independently manage pediatric patients and emergencies.
- Good communication and patient-counselling skills.
Compensation
Monthly Salary: ₹1,80,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Eighty Thousand Only).
