Job Summary:
The Team Leader – Hospital Pharmacy is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy department, ensuring safe and efficient medication dispensing, maintaining inventory, leading the pharmacy team, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies, statutory regulations, and quality standards. The role focuses on delivering high-quality pharmaceutical services while supporting patient safety and operational excellence.
Job Description:
- Supervise daily pharmacy operations across IPD, OPD, ICU, Emergency, and OT pharmacy services.
- Team Management, Lead, guide, and supervise pharmacy staff.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of medicines. Prevent stock shortages and overstocking.
- Ensure compliance with the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, NABH standards, and hospital policies.
- Coordinate with consultants, nursing staff, purchase department, stores, and accounts for smooth pharmacy operations.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly pharmacy reports.
- Monitor key performance indicators such as stock availability, expiry losses, billing accuracy, and turnaround time.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm).
- Valid State Pharmacy Council Registration.
Experience:
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in hospital pharmacy.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or team leader role.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Sound knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and medication management.
- Inventory and stock control expertise.
- Knowledge of NABH standards and statutory pharmacy regulations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
