SAMMS TECH SPM & Automation is looking for a skilled SPM Assembly Engineer with 2–4 years of hands-on experience in assembling Special Purpose Machines (SPMs). The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of machine assembly, mechanical fitting, precision alignment, pneumatics, and machine trials.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble complete Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) as per assembly drawings and BOM.
- Read and interpret 2D mechanical and assembly drawings.
- Assemble machine components such as linear guideways, ball screws, bearings, gearboxes, couplings, and servo motors.
- Install and troubleshoot pneumatic systems.
- Perform precision alignment, leveling, and machine fitting.
- Conduct machine trials, testing, and debugging.
- Coordinate with Design, Electrical, and PLC teams during machine assembly.
- Ensure quality standards and timely completion of projects.
- Assist in machine installation and commissioning at customer sites when required.
- Follow 5S and workplace safety practices.
Required Skills
- 2–4 years of experience in SPM Machine Assembly.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly and machine building.
- Ability to read engineering and assembly drawings.
- Experience in pneumatic assembly and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments.
- Good problem-solving and teamwork skills.
Qualification
- ITI – Fitter / Mechanic
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- B.E./B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering
