About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead the overall operations, guest experience, revenue generation and team management at Quila Udaipur.
The ideal candidate should be a strong hands-on hospitality leader with excellent commercial understanding, capable of managing day-to-day resort operations while developing systems, teams and processes for the property's upcoming expansion.
Key Responsibilities
1. Overall Resort Operations
- Take complete responsibility for day-to-day operations of the resort.
- Ensure smooth functioning of Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Kitchen, Engineering, Security and Guest Relations.
- Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, safety and guest experience.
- Develop and implement SOPs across departments.
- Conduct regular operational audits and ensure compliance.
2. Revenue & Business Growth
- Take ownership of room revenue, F&B revenue, events and overall profitability.
- Develop strategies to improve occupancy, ADR and RevPAR.
- Work closely with Sales & Marketing teams to drive direct bookings.
- Manage OTA performance and online reputation.
- Develop packages for weddings, events, corporate groups and leisure guests.
- Identify new revenue opportunities within the property.
3. F&B & Events
- Monitor restaurant operations, menu performance, food cost and service quality.
- Drive F&B profitability.
- Oversee weddings, banquets, private events and destination celebrations.
- Ensure flawless execution of events from planning to closure.
4. Guest Experience
- Personally monitor VIP and high-value guest experiences.
- Handle escalated guest complaints professionally.
- Maintain strong ratings and reviews across OTAs and Google.
- Build a culture of exceptional hospitality among the team.
5. Team Management
- Recruit, train and retain the right hospitality team.
- Set KRAs and performance standards for department heads.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and performance reviews.
- Build accountability and discipline within the organization.
- Develop future leaders within the team.
6. Financial Management
- Prepare and monitor annual budgets and departmental targets.
- Control operating costs without compromising guest experience.
- Monitor payroll, food cost, inventory and procurement.
- Review daily/monthly P&L and take corrective actions.
- Work closely with the accounts team on financial controls.
7. Expansion & Pre-Opening
- Participate actively in the upcoming expansion of Quila Udaipur.
- Help plan manpower, SOPs, departmental structures and operational requirements for the expanded property.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, contractors and vendors wherever required.
- Support pre-opening planning and eventual launch of the expanded property.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- A strong people leader, not just an administrator.
- Commercially driven and understands hotel profitability.
- Experienced in luxury/boutique resort operations.
- Strong in F&B + rooms + events/weddings.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on environment.
- Excellent at guest handling and team management.
- Strong in SOP implementation and operational discipline.
- Comfortable working directly with the owners.
- Able to build and manage a growing organization.
- Willing to relocate/work in Udaipur.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Hotel Management or Hospitality.
- 8–15 years of relevant hospitality experience.
- Previous experience as Hotel Manager / Resort Manager / General Manager / Operations Head preferred.
- Experience in a resort, boutique hotel, luxury hotel or wedding destination will be an advantage.

Compensation
Salary: Competitive, based on experience and capability.
