Job Overview
Solto Innovations and Aviation Private Limited is looking for a highly experienced and strategic COSTING MANAGER to lead and manage all procurement operations, including costing, strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, and procurement planning. This role is crucial in aligning procurement with company objectives, optimizing cost structures, and ensuring timely availability of materials and services with the right quality and price. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, manufacturing cost knowledge, ERP proficiency, and leadership capabilities to drive efficiency, cost control, and long-term supplier partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
1. Costing & Estimation
● Prepare and review detailed cost sheets covering raw materials, machining, fabrication, assembly, etc.
● Analyze cost variances and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
● Collaborate with design and production teams to optimize product cost structure.
● Support pricing decisions for tenders, RFQs, and new product development projects.
2. Strategic Procurement
● Develop and implement sourcing strategies to secure the best quality materials and services at competitive pricing.
● Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure value-driven procurement.
● Raise, track, and manage purchase orders to ensure timely deliveries aligned with project schedules.
● Maintain accurate procurement data and supplier pricing within ERP systems.
3. Vendor & Supplier Management
● Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability and performance.
● Evaluate supplier performance on quality, cost, and delivery metrics.
● Handle contract negotiations, renewals, and ensure procurement compliance and risk mitigation.
4. Cross-functional Coordination
● Work closely with design, production, accounts, and operations teams for smooth procurement execution.
● Contribute to strategic planning by forecasting material needs based on project timelines and capacity planning.
Required Skills & Competencies
● In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, assembly, etc.)
● Strong cost estimation and financial analysis skills.
● Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management abilities.
● Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, costing sheets).
● Leadership and problem-solving mindset with a hands-on approach.
● Understanding of procurement compliance, legal contracts, and risk control.
Required Qualifications
● Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
● 3 –7 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or industrial procurement environment.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
